On the first Sunday of most months the 09:30 service at All Saints Church and on the 3rd Sunday of the month the 11:00 am service at St Edmunds are planned with families with young children in mind.
During school term time on the first Wednesday of the month at All Saints Church we have Toddler Praise at 1.45pm – which is for babies and pre school children and their parents, grandparents or carers and consists of stories, singing, craft activities and refreshments (last about 1 hour) and Messy Church at 3.30pm which is open to everyone and is especially designed for families to come along and play, worship, create and have fun together (last about 1.5 hours).
Baptisms are combined with the main communion services in both All Saints and St Edmunds churches. Baptisms at All Saints church are undertaken on the second Sunday of the month in the 09.30am service and at St Edmunds church on the third Sunday of the month at the 11.00am service.
From time to time we offer courses to prepare young children to receive holy communion and to prepare older children in their teens and adults for confirmation. The adult course also offer the opportunity for others, including those who are returning to the church after a gap, to refresh their understanding of the faith. For more information on admitting children to communion, confirmation and courses please complete our online enquiry form.
